The Vances are an old family of German descent who emigrated to Switzerland during the 17th-century wars of religion. They became renowned for serving the local community with their profound botanical knowledge and apothecary traditions. The family estate, named "Villa Folia," is nestled on the eastern slopes of Lake Geneva, overlooking the magnificent landscape, with a history dating back to the 18th century.
